Welding supervisor (m/f/d) in shipbuilding or steel or plant construction (m/f/d)

Your task

  • You are responsible for leading an assembly team with regard to the technical guidance of the specifications from the welding, heat treatment and test plans to achieve the required weld seam quality
  • Checking the suitability of the welding personnel, the welding consumables and the base material
  • Monitoring of in-house procedure qualifications and welder certificates
  • Monitoring material identification before and during assembly
  • Execution, logging and monitoring of ongoing welding work in accordance with specifications (e.g. compliance with the welding sequence plan)
  • Preparation of component and assembly documentation in accordance with regulations and customer requirements
  • Coordinating the inspection supervision of external inspection companies
  • Observing the specified safety and environmental conditions on site with regard to occupational health and safety and the prevention of accidents at work

Your profile

  • You have completed technical training in conjunction with certification as a welding specialist or technician or engineer
  • Sound knowledge in the field of shipbuilding, steel construction or plant engineering, especially in the respective welding standards: ISO 3834-1; AD2000; EN 13480; EN 13445; EN 1090-1; DIN 2303
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Customer-oriented and a team player
  • Willingness to travel
  • Written and spoken German, knowledge of English an advantage
